Tree felling might be carried out for a range of reasons. Trees that are diseased or damaged and incapable of recovering might need to be felled to make sure that they do not fall on their own and cause damage or damage to property. Likewise, if trees are damaged by bad weather or other factors and have partially fallen they will often require felling to ensure that they do not cause any more damage either to properties or surrounding trees. Domestic tree felling can even be carried out if a tree has grown too large or is especially near a building and therefore more likely to cause structural damage. In addition, trees in gardens can be felled if they are obscuring the light to a house or otherwise impacting your enjoyment of your garden. Though it can be tempting to carry out tree felling as a DIY job, it is unsafe to undertake without the correct training and planning. Professional tree felling companies can fell trees in a safe way and ensure that they do not cause any harm to property as they are felled. If the space around a tree is constrained, the tree can be felled in portions to limit the risk of it falling and causing damage in the nearby area. Tree felling companies will also dispose of the fallen tree in a environmentally friendly way, and may even cut up the tree into logs for use in a wood burner or stove.

The clock on St Nicholas Church (Quality 2 *) remains in an unusual setting on the south-west edge of the 14th-century tower, making it noticeable from the High Street. The church also houses the tomb of Fulke Greville, grandpa of Fulke Greville, 1st Baron Brooke. The church’s Georgian nave with Doric columns and plastered ceiling is thought to have actually been designed by Francis Smith of Warwick, manager of its restore by Woodward siblings of Chipping Camden in 1729.
