Tree felling could be performed for an assortment of reasons. Trees that are diseased or weakened and not able to recover might need to be felled to guarantee that they do not fall independently and cause injury or harm to property. Likewise, if trees are damaged by inclement weather or other factors and have partly fallen they will probably need felling to ensure that they do not cause any additional destruction either to properties or surrounding trees. Domestic tree felling can also be carried out if a tree has grown too big or is particularly close to a building and therefore likely to cause structural issues. Furthermore, trees in gardens can be felled if they are obscuring the light to a property or otherwise impacting your enjoyment of your garden. While it can be tempting to handle tree felling as a DIY job, it is very risky to undertake without the correct training and planning. Expert tree surgeons can fell trees in a safe way and ensure that they do not cause any damage to property as they are felled. If the area around a tree is restricted, the tree can be felled in portions to lower the chance of it falling and causing damage in the surrounding area. Tree felling companies will also remove the fallen tree in a sustainable way, and may even cut up the tree into logs for use in a wood burner or stove.

Cupar is a community, previous royal burgh and parish in Fife, Scotland. It exists in between Dundee and also Glenrothes. According to a 2011 population estimate, Cupar had a population around 9,000, making it the 9th biggest settlement in Fife, as well as the civil parish a population of 11,183 (in 2011). It is the historical county town of Fife, although the council currently sits at Glenrothes. The community is believed to have grown around the site of Cupar Castle, which was the seat of the constable as well as was owned by the earls of Fife. The location came to be a centre for judiciary as the region of Fife and also as a market community providing for both cattle and sheep. Towards the last stages of the 13th century, the burgh became the site of an assembly of the 3 estates – clergy, nobility as well as burgesses – organised by Alexander III in 1276 as a predecessor of the Parliament of Scotland. Although composed information of a charter for the contemporary town was shed, proof suggested that this existed as one of the many residential or commercial properties had by the Earls of Fife by 1294. Throughout the center of the 14th century, the burgh began to pay custom-mades on taxable incomes, which possibly implied that royal burgh condition was given sometime in between 1294 and 1328. The earliest paper, describing the royal burgh, was a grant by Robert II in 1381 to offer a port at Guardbridge on the River Eden to help enhance trade with Flanders. This grant was formally acknowledged by James II in 1428.
