Tree felling might be undertaken for a range of reasons. Trees that are diseased or damaged and not able to recover might need to be felled to guarantee that they do not fall on their own and cause personal injury or harm to property. Likewise, if trees are damaged by bad weather or other factors and have partly fallen they will generally need felling to ensure that they do not cause any more damage either to properties or surrounding trees. Domestic tree felling can also be carried out if a tree has grown too big or is especially near to a building and therefore more likely to cause structural damage. Furthermore, trees in gardens can be felled if they are obscuring the light to a house or otherwise impacting your enjoyment of your garden. Although it can be tempting to carry out tree felling as a DIY job, it is hazardous to undertake without the correct training and planning. Specialist tree felling companies can fell trees in a safe manner and ensure that they do not cause any harm to property as they are felled. If the area around a tree is restricted, the tree can be felled in sections to lower the risk of it falling and causing destruction in the surrounding area. Tree felling companies will also dispose of the fallen tree in a environmentally friendly way, and may even cut up the tree into logs for use in a wood burner or stove.

Pickering is an old market town and also civil parish in the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire, England, on the border of the North York Moors National Park. Historically part of the North Riding of Yorkshire, it sits at the foot of the moors, overlooking the Vale of Pickering to the south. According to tale the community was founded by King Peredurus around 270 BC; however, the community as it exists today is of middle ages origin. The legend has it that the king lost his ring as well as charged a young maiden of stealing it, however later on that day the ring was found in a pike caught in the River Costa for his dinner. The king was so delighted to locate his ring he wed the young maiden; the name Pike-ring changed over the years to Pickering. It is a nice tale informed to fit the name, however it is not the beginning. Pickering is believed to be named after the followers of an Anglian man named Picer or some such personal name– the Picer-ingas. The visitor places of Pickering Parish Church, with its medieval wall surface paints, Pickering Castle, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway as well as Beck Isle Museum have made Pickering popular with site visitors. Close-by places include Malton, Norton-on-Derwent as well as Scarborough.
