Landscaping is a term which means adjusting the visible features of land, and can consequently refer to many gardening tasks, from simple DIY projects to full scale design and build landscaping solutions. Landscaping is often separated into two separate areas. Soft landscaping refers to alterations to plants, trees and bushes, as well as laying turf. Hard landscaping is used to group transformations to terrain such as installing patios, walls, fences, decking, driveways, or artificial grass. Landscaping will also include maintenance jobs like mowing and strimming lawns, trimming hedges and bushes and pruning trees, although these activities are usually performed alongside larger scale transformations to the garden itself.
Specialist landscaping companies can execute a survey of your garden and advise you on the most suitable adjustments to increase the use of your space. If you have always wanted a patio, sleeper beds for planting or a water feature, a landscape company will carry out the design and build of these elements. In addition, many landscaping companies also provide an aftercare service, where they will conduct regular upkeep on your garden to ensure its new features stay in perfect condition. Landscaping works will make your garden and the other areas around your home such as your driveway a genuinely practical and beautiful space that you can enjoy for many years to come.

Largs is a town on the Firth of Clyde in North Ayrshire in Scotland. It is set approximately 33 miles (53 kilometres) from Glasgow. The original name means “the slopes” (An Leargaidh) in Scottish Gaelic. The town markets itself on its historic connections with the Vikings and an annual fair is held in early September. In accordance with the 2011 Census, the town has a permanent population of around 11241. Largs developed from the estates of North Cunninghame over which the Montgomeries of Skelmorlie ended up being temporal lords in the 17th century. Sir Robert Montgomerie built Skelmorlie Aisle in the ancient kirk of Largs in 1636 as a family mausoleum. Today, the monument is all that stays of the old kirk. From its beginnings as a small village around its kirk, Largs became a busy and popular seaside resort in the 19th century. Sizeable hotels were developed and the pier was finished off in 1834. It was not till 1895, nevertheless, that the train made the connection to Largs, which consolidated the town’s appeal. It also transformed into a highly regarded place to live, and several spectacular estates were built. The most considerable of which includes ‘Netherhall’, the residence of William Thomson, Lord Kelvin, the physicist and engineer. Despite its lowered status as a holiday resort, much of Largs is still focused towards tourism. There is the award winning Vikingar Centre at Barrfields, an interactive view into the history of Viking life; Kelburn Country Centre, Barrfields Pavilion Theatre, Largs Swimming Pool, Douglas Park and Inverclyde National Sports Training Centre. It is best known for ‘Nardinis’, the famous ice cream parlour, coffee shop and eatery, that dominates the Esplanade and which reopened in late 2008.
