Landscaping is a term which means transforming the visible features of land, and can therefore refer to an array of gardening tasks, from simple DIY projects to full scale design and build landscaping services. Landscaping is frequently separated into two distinct areas. Soft landscaping refers to alterations to plants, trees and shrubs, as well as laying turf. Hard landscaping is used to group changes to terrain such as the installation of patios, walls, fences, decking, driveways, or artificial grass. Landscaping will also consist of maintenance jobs like mowing and strimming lawns, trimming hedges and bushes and pruning trees, although these activities are usually performed along with larger scale changes to the garden itself.
Professional landscaping experts will be able to execute a survey of your garden and advise you on the best changes to increase the use of your space. If you have always wanted an outdoor patio, sleeper beds for planting or a water feature, a landscape company will manage the design and build of these elements. In addition, many landscaping companies also offer an aftercare service, where they will perform routine upkeep on your garden to ensure its new features stay in perfect condition. Landscaping works will make your garden and the other areas around your property such as your driveway a truly practical and attractive space that you can enjoy for many years to come.
