Patios remain an extremely common method of creating functional outdoor spaces which can be used for entertaining, dining, or just to enhance the appeal of your garden. Patios are constructed from block or slab paving and can come in a large array of colours, patterns and designs. Patios can be laid in either random course patterns where the pattern is varied, or in repeating patterns that have a consistent effect. Patios are extremely durable and require very little maintenance, only infrequent cleaning to maintain the natural beauty of the stone. Patios are generally installed in locations where patio or French doors can open directly out onto them as this brings about a smooth transition between the inside and outside spaces.
Patios come in a huge array of colours and types of stone. Give some thought to using a different colour and kind of stone to either inlay an elegant design or as edging to complement the shape of your patio. It is important to consider the use of your patio when planning it and measure accurately to be sure that any furniture fits the intended space. Experienced patio and paving companies can design you a patio that perfectly meets your requirements and creates an outdoor area that is practical as well as beautiful.
