Garden sheds are a crucial component of any functional garden space. They can offer storage for heavy garden tools, as well as for other equipment. A generous shed may offer enough room for plant potting or a general workshop. Alternatively, a sizeable shed could be utilised as an indoor seating area. Garden sheds are available in an enormous variety of sizes and can be specified to your precise requirements, giving you full control over the number and position of windows, type, size and location of door, and style of roof. Garden sheds typically come in one of three materials. Wooden sheds are the traditional style and can be integrated well into any garden creating a natural look, particularly if the wood used for the shed is matched to neighbouring fences. Wooden sheds are still extremely popular, although they will demand maintenance by retreating or staining the wood to maintain the lifespan of the shed. Garden sheds are also manufactured from metal, which is very durable and therefore ideal for storage of tools and other equipment. Metal sheds additionally require almost no maintenance. The final material for garden sheds is plastic, which in modern examples is a lot more resilient than might be expected. When contemplating a garden shed, it’s essential to make certain you choose one that will fit in your garden space. Garden sheds should be placed on a level area, and will require a base to be built as a foundation. This base could be produced from either concrete, paving, gravel or a floating wooden base, but will have to be the right size for your shed and able to support the weight of your shed when loaded.

Montacute is a little town and civil parish in Somerset, England, 4 miles (6.4 km) west of Yeovil. The town has a population of 831 (2011 census). The name Montacute is assumed by some to originate from the Latin “Mons Acutus”, referring to the conically intense St Michael’s Hill dominating the town to the west. An alternative view is that it is called after Drogo de Montagu, whose family stemmed from Montaigu-les-Bois, in the arrondissement of Coutances. Mortain held Montacute after 1066, Drogo was a close partner. The village is constructed practically entirely of the local hamstone. From the 15th century till the start of the 20th century it formed the heart of the estate of the Phelips household of Montacute House. The town has a fine medieval church, as well as was the site of a Cluniac abbey, the gatehouse of which is now a personal house. At the centre of the town is a huge square known as the ‘District’ around which are grouped stunning homes and also a club, the Phelips Arms; there is a 2nd public house and also resort located in the town, called the King’s Arms.
