Tree felling can be executed for a variety of reasons. Trees that are diseased or damaged and incapable of recovering may need to be felled to guarantee that they do not fall on their own and cause damage or damage to property. Likewise, if trees are damaged by bad weather or other factors and have partially fallen they will likely need felling to ensure that they do not cause any further destruction either to properties or surrounding trees. Domestic tree felling may also be carried out if a tree has grown too large or is especially near a building and therefore likely to cause structural problems. Furthermore, trees in gardens can be felled if they are obscuring the light to a house or otherwise affecting your enjoyment of your garden. Though it can be tempting to carry out tree felling as a DIY job, it is unsafe to undertake without the correct training and planning. Specialist tree felling companies can fell trees in a safe manner and ensure that they do not cause any harm to property as they are felled. If the area around a tree is constrained, the tree can be felled in sections to lower the chance of it falling and causing damage in the surrounding area. Tree felling companies will also dispose of the fallen tree in a environmentally friendly way, and could even cut up the tree into logs for use in a wood burner or stove.

Leek is a market town and civil parish in the English county of Staffordshire. Situated on the River Churnet, it is 10 miles north east of Stoke-on-Trent. It is an ancient borough and was awarded a royal charter in 1214. Most of the town is at or higher than 180 metres above sea level, and it is encircled by the countryside of the Staffordshire Moorlands, which is located on the southern uplands of the Pennines. It is the administrative base for the Staffordshire Moorlands District Council. The town was developed on the slope and crown of a hill, and it is at the base of the Peak District National Park. The town is, because of this, known as the ‘Gateway to the Peak District’, alongside being typically called the ‘Queen of the Moorlands’. It has a long history of being a market town, with the right to host a weekly market and a yearly week-long fair being bestowed by King John in 1207. Various structures dating from the Victorian period are left standing in the town, and a number of these were developed by the architectural practice of the Sugdens, ‘Sugden and Sons’. William Sugden arrived in Leek in 1849, brought over thanks to his work on the design of the train stations in the Churnet Valley Railway. Notable buildings include the Congregational Church, Myatt; s Mill, Mill Street Methodist Chapel and Ragged School, and West Street School. Their effect of their styles on the town continues to be profound. Other regional tourist attractions are the local football club, Leek Town F.C., Alton Towers amusement park, and Rudyard Lake Steam Railway near Rudyard Lake.
