Wooden decking is an increasingly fashionable option for creating outdoor seating areas in gardens. Because of the natural beauty of wood, they can be very fashionable areas which can be used year round with the help of additional heating and lighting. Wooden decking is commonly installed in locations in front of patio or French doors where they can create a seamless transition between inside and outside spaces. Wooden decking can come in virtually any size or shape to complement any area. Curved designs or large areas linked by pathways can create a striking effect.
Wooden decking is reasonably simple to install and causes minimal disruption, especially in comparison to other possibilities like patio or paving. It can even be installed over the top of an existing patio. It is vital however to make certain that your wooden decking is structurally sound and capable of taking the weight of any furniture or plants that you want to use on the decking.
There is a variety of species of wood that can be used in wooden decking. Normally decking is made of hardwood, but there are softwoods available that fulfil the durability specifications. As hardwood decking will need maintenance, which generally requires yearly cleaning and staining for weather proofing, composite woods have become popular for use in wooden decking as they are stronger and require significantly less maintenance.

Devizes is a market town and civil parish in the centre of Wiltshire in England. Situated on a hill at the east side of the Vale of Pewsey, the town is situated around 10.5 miles (16.9 km) southeast of Chippenham and about 11 miles (18 kilometres) east-north-east of the county town of Trowbridge. In accordance with the 2011 Census, the town has a permanent population of approximately 11715. Its development has happened around the 11th century Norman castle. Throughout the 12th and 13th centuries, craftsmen and traders set up businesses to serve the inhabitants of the castle. The very first documented market in Devizes dates back to 1228. The first market was in the large area outside St Mary’s Church, in lieu of in the current Market Place, which during that time would have been within the castle’s outer bailey. Devizes in the present day serves as a centre for banks, solicitors and stores and has an open market place where a market is held once a week on Thursdays. It has about five hundred listed buildings, which is a substantial number for a town of its size, and some noteworthy churches, a Town Hall and a green at the heart of the town. The town draws in a fair amount of tourism as a result of its distance to Avebury, Stonehenge and Salisbury. Local attractions consist of Wiltshire Museum, Caen Hill Locks, the Kennet and Avon Canal, seasonal crop circles, and the White Horse. The Wadworth Brewery, with its shire horses that provide Wadworth beer to pubs in the area along with giving rides to the public, runs a visitor centre.
