Wooden decking is an increasingly prevalent choice for creating outdoor seating areas in gardens. Because of the natural beauty of wood, they can be very beautiful spaces which can be used year round with the help of outside heating and illumination. Wooden decking is often fitted in locations in front of patio or French doors where they can create a smooth transition between interior and exterior spaces. Wooden decking is available in virtually any size or shape to fit any area. Curved designs or large areas linked by pathways can produce an attractive effect. Wooden decking is relatively simple to install and causes minimal disruption, especially when compared to alternate options like patio or paving. It can even be installed over the top of an existing patio. It is important however to make sure that your wooden decking is structurally sound and able to take the load of any furniture or plants that you would like to use on the decking. There is a variety of varieties of wood that can be used in wooden decking. Often decking is constructed from hardwood, but there are softwoods available that fulfil the durability specifications. As hardwood decking will demand maintenance, which usually involves annual cleaning and staining for weather proofing, composite woods have become popular for use in wooden decking as they are more robust and require far less maintenance.

Littleborough is a village within the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale, in Greater Manchester. It lies in the upper Roch Valley by the foothills of the South Pennines, 3 miles (4.8 km) northeast of Rochdale and 12.6 miles (20.3 km) north-northeast of the city of Manchester. In 2001, Littleborough and its surrounding residential areas of Calderbrook, Shore and Smithy Bridge were documented as having a population of 13,807. When cotton was launched as a base to make textiles, Littleborough experienced an influx of families, mostly from the neighbouring county, the West Riding of Yorkshire. Wealthy homes and estates were developed on the outskirts of the town. Coal mining, engineering ventures and progressively large textile mills contributed to Littleborough’s population expansion and urbanisation, which led to its status as a mill town. During the course of the mid-20th century, imports of more affordable foreign goods contributed to the progressive deindustrialisation of Littleborough, but the commercial diversity of the town enabled it to ward off the developing financial depression, which was felt elsewhere in North West England. Littleborough’s stone-built town centre is designated as a Conservation Area for its particular architectural qualities. The town also boasts great dining and leisure facilities, with Littleborough Rugby Union Football Club being made ‘Club of the Year’ at National Ruby Football Awards. For all of your home upgrades, make sure to make use of reliable professionals in Littleborough to make certain of quality.
