Wooden decking is an increasingly fashionable choice for providing outdoor seating areas in gardens. Due to the natural beauty of wood, they can be very beautiful areas which can be used year round with the addition of external heating and lighting. Wooden decking is generally installed in locations in front of patio or French doors where they can create a seamless transition between inside and outside spaces. Wooden decking is available in virtually any size or shape to match any area. Curved designs or large areas joined by pathways can create an impressive effect.
Wooden decking is fairly easy to install and causes little disruption, especially in comparison to alternate options like patio or paving. It could even be installed over the top of an existing patio. It is crucial however to be certain that your wooden decking is structurally sound and able to take the weight of any furniture or plants that you want to use on the decking.
There is a range of varieties of wood that can be used in wooden decking. Often decking is constructed from hardwood, but there are softwoods available that fulfil the durability requirements. As hardwood decking will demand maintenance, which usually entails annual cleaning and staining for weather proofing, composite woods have become popular for use in wooden decking as they are more robust and require far less maintenance.

Market Rasen is a community and civil parish within the West Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. The River Rase goes through it eastern to west, around 13 miles (21 kilometres) north-east from Lincoln, 18 miles (29 kilometres) eastern from Gainsborough and 16 miles (26 kilometres) south-west from Grimsby. The town is understood for Market Rasen Racecourse and also being close to the epicentre of a 2008 earthquake. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 3,904. Market Rasen is a tiny market town on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. The community lies on the main road in between Lincoln and Grimsby, the A46 as well as is on National Cycle Route 1 (part of EuroVelo 12) of the National Cycle Network. The place-name ‘Market Rasen’ is first confirmed in the Domesday Book of 1086, where it appears as Rase, Rasa and also Resne. The name stems from the Old English ræsn definition ‘plank’, and is thought to refer to a plank bridge. The river name ‘Rase’ is a back-formation. Originally “Rasen”, as it is known in your area, was called “East Rasen”, “Rasen Parva” or “Little Rasen”. The town centre has an uniform 19th-century redbrick look of generally Georgian as well as Victorian design, centred on a market place with a medieval church, brought back in the 19th century. The River Rase flows with the town and also is crossed by Jameson Bridge, Caistor Road Bridge as well as Crane Bridge. Market days are Tuesdays, Fridays as well as Saturdays. On each Tuesday there is an auction of items and also create, and on the first Tuesday of every month, a farmers’ market. Every Friday the Women’s Institute holds a country market. Market Rasen’s area fire and police station opened December 2005. It is one of the very first purpose-built consolidated fire and police headquarters in the UK. In 2011 it was one of the communities picked for the Portas Review of sectarian selling company.
