Wooden decking is an increasingly fashionable option for creating outdoor seating areas in gardens. Due to the natural beauty of wood, they can be very elegant areas which you can use year round with the help of external heating and light. Wooden decking is generally fitted in locations in front of patio or French doors where they can create a seamless transition between interior and exterior spaces. Wooden decking is available in virtually any size or shape to match any area. Curved designs or large areas linked by pathways can produce an attractive effect.
Wooden decking is relatively quick to install and causes little disruption, especially in comparison to other possibilities like patio or paving. It can even be installed over the top of an existing patio. It is crucial however to be sure that your wooden decking is structurally sound and capable of taking the weight of any furniture or plants that you want to use on the decking.
There is a range of varieties of wood that can be used in wooden decking. Commonly decking is made of hardwood, but there are softwoods available that fulfil the durability specifications. As hardwood decking will demand maintenance, which commonly consists of annual cleaning and staining for weather proofing, composite woods are becoming more popular for use in wooden decking because they are stronger and require much less maintenance.

Ruardean is a town in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, England, to the west of Cinderford. It is positioned on a hillside with views west towards the mountains of South Wales. Little currently remains of the village’s commercial background, but once it was a centre for iron ore smelting heating systems, builds as well as coal mines. The Norman castle, now little bit greater than a mound, commanded the shortest route from Gloucester Castle to the Welsh Marches and also the Wye Valley. The town has been, in times past, a crucial centre of iron as well as coal mining, though little evidence continues to be of this facet of the village’s history. The major historical spots of the town is Ruardyn Castle, close to the parish church. In the past the village was led to as Ruardyn and also belonged to Herefordshire. Nowadays the town exists inside Gloucestershire and is part of the Forest of Dean area. Like much of the bordering area, Ruardean has actually traditionally been relatively bad; the 1831 demographics records 127 households, with half the population employed in agriculture and 160 people on inadequate relief.
