While its value as an aspect of garden design is often overlooked, fencing is a key part of both the aesthetics and usefulness of your garden. Garden fencing will likely differ between the front and back of properties, with higher and more secure timber fencing frequently being installed in the rear garden, while the front of the property often features smaller and more ornamental fencing. Fencing for the front of the home tends to feature a low height and large spaces between the wooden slats. Also, it is often painted to improve its ornamental effect. Fencing in the back garden is typically used for privacy and to maintain the borders of a garden, as well as to keep household pets or other small animals or wildlife either in or out. For this reason, these varieties of fences are approximately 6 feet high and use wooden slats with no gaps in between. Due to the added height, these fences commonly have concrete footings laid between each section to provide stability which will help prevent the fence from blowing over or being broken in high winds. Garden fencing sections are generally constructed from wood. The posts in between the sections are made from either timber, stone, or concrete. More recently, fence panels have started to be made of heavily recycled and sustainable composite materials such as recycled bamboo.

Get Alexandria pros

Alexandria is a town in West Dunbartonshire, Scotland. The town is situated on the River Leven, 4 miles (six km) north-west of Dumbarton. In 2001, the population of the town was 13,444. It is the largest town inside the Vale of Leven. Alexandria developed as a result of the textile market. In 1715, the first bleachfields in the area were established at Dalquhurn, attracting seasonal labour from Argyll. As trade between Scotland and the US grew, cotton was increasingly imported and processed in and around Glasgow. Quickly, textile work inside the Vale grew from just bleaching fabric to dying and printing it also. The town’s traditional industries, above all cotton manufacturing, bleaching and printing, have been phased out. The town was redeveloped in the 1970s with a brand new town centre layout and traffic system. Nearby landmarks include Christie Park and the fountain in the town centre. Alexandria is located on the former A82 main road between Glasgow and Loch Lomond. You’ll find regular bus services on the route and the town includes a railway station on the rail line in between Balloch and Glasgow Queen Street. The town is well-known as the only UK town with a railway station along with a pub in the center of a roundabout. The writer A. J. Cronin’s uncle owned a pub in Bridge Street. Alexandria Library is situated on Gilmour Street. The town hosts the Vale of Leven football club, who play at Millburn Park. The club were a dominant force in early Scottish football history, winning the Scottish Cup in 1877, 1878 and 1879, and were founding members of the Scottish Football League.
