While its importance as an aspect of garden design is often neglected, fencing is an integral part of both the aesthetics and useability of your garden. Garden fencing will likely differ between the front and back of properties, with taller and more substantial wooden fencing typically being installed in the rear garden, while the front of the property typically makes use of more compact and more attractive fencing. Fencing for the front of the home tends to have a low height and large gaps between the wooden slats. Additionally, it is often coloured to improve its decorative effect. Fencing in the back garden is generally used for privacy and to protect the borders of a garden, as well as to keep domestic pets or other small animals or wildlife either in or out. Because of this, these styles of fences are around 6 feet high and use wooden slats without spaces in between. Due to the extra height, these fences often have concrete footings laid in between each section to offer security and prevent the fence from blowing over or being ruined in high winds. Garden fencing panels are generally constructed from wood. The posts in between the sections are manufactured from either wood, stone, or concrete. More recently, fence panels have started to be made from heavily recycled and eco friendly composite materials such as recycled bamboo.

Bembridge is a village as well as civil parish located on the easternmost factor of the Isle of Wight. It had a population of 3,848 according to the 2001 census of the United Kingdom, resulting in the implausible case by some homeowners that Bembridge is the biggest town in England. Bembridge is house to a number of the Island’s richest locals. The population had lowered to 3,688 at the 2011 Census. Bembridge rests at the extreme eastern factor of the Isle of Wight. Prior to land reclamation the area of Bembridge and Yaverland was nearly an island, separated from the remainder of the Isle of Wight by Brading Haven. On the Joan Blaeu map of 1665, Bembridge is shown as Binbridge I?le, virtually divided from the remainder of Wight by River Yar. Prior to the Victorian era Bembridge was a collection of wood huts and farmhouses, which just consolidated into a real town with the building of the church in 1827 (later on restored in 1846).
