While its importance as an aspect of garden design is sometimes disregarded, fencing is an essential part of both the appearance and usefulness of your garden. Garden fencing is likely to differ between the front and rear of properties, with taller and more secure timber fencing commonly being used in the rear garden, while the front of the property often employs smaller sized and more decorative fencing. Fencing for the front of the home tends to feature a low height and large spaces between the wooden slats. It is also often coloured to enhance its decorative effect.
Fencing in the back garden is typically used for privacy and to protect the borders of a garden, as well as to keep domestic pets or other small animals or wildlife either in or out. Due to this, these kinds of fences are around 6 feet high and use wooden slats without spaces in between. Due to the additional height, these fences generally have concrete footings laid between each section to provide strength and stopping the fence from blowing over or being ruined in high winds.
Garden fencing panels are generally constructed from wood. The posts in between the panels are manufactured from either timber, stone, or concrete. Recently, fence panels have started to be made of heavily recycled and sustainable composite materials such as recycled bamboo.

Get Heriot pros
Heriot is a small town in the Moorfoot Hills southeast of Edinburgh, Scotland, within Eildon (part of the Scottish Boundaries council location, though traditionally in Midlothian). The village comprises some 150 houses, topped a geographical area of around 50 square miles (130 km2), most of which is moorland. Linked to the remainder of the world largely via the A7 road, Heriot had a railway station from 1849 up until the branch line closures initiated by Beeching triggered the track to be uplifted in the 1960s. The Scottish Parliament elected, in 2006, to restore the train, yet without a station at Heriot. The School (as of Sept 2016) has 36 students. There are numerous community groups operating in the town including dramatization teams, WRI, an area choir as well as a martial arts club. Places close to Heriot include Borthwick, Carcant, Crichton, Fala, Stow of Wedale and also Innerleithen.
