Paving is a common way of designing bespoke and appealing spaces in your garden. Hard wearing and durable, paving offers a great way of providing spaces for eating or socialising, or it can simply be used as a low maintenance replacement for grass. Paving is also great for providing access to different areas of your garden, and is perfect for use if you’ve got a gated side alley with your home, or for creating a path across your lawn.
Garden paving comes in a wide range of styles and types of stone. Whether you select marble, granite, limestone, slate, or sandstone, there is bound to be a kind of stone to fit your requirements. Garden paving can even be found in vitrified tile, which is a type of very durable porcelain tile appropriate for outdoor use. When selecting your paving options, make sure to speak to a number of companies and manufacturers to make certain you choose the perfect style for your garden. Also consider utilising a differing style for detailing or edging, and choose a pattern that enhances your space and draws attention to any features you want to highlight.
Laying paving is a relatively easy project, but it does require a foundation to be laid that is level and able to support the weight of the paving as well as of any furniture you want to have on top of the paving.

The borough is immediately towards the west of the City of Westminster and towards the east of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. It contains main museums and universities in Albertopolis, department stores such as Harrods, Peter Jones and Harvey Nichols, and embassies in Belgravia, Knightsbridge and Kensington Gardens. It is home to the Notting Hill Carnival, Europe’s largest. It consists of a lot of the most expensive residential districts in London and even in the world, in addition to districts with high levels of social housing and poverty. The local authority is Kensington and Chelsea London Borough Council. The borough’s motto is Quam Bonum in Unum Habitare, which may be roughly translated as ‘How good to dwell in unity’.
