Landscaping is a term which means altering the visible features of land, and can as a result refer to a wide range of gardening tasks, from simple DIY jobs to full scale design and build landscaping services. Landscaping is often divided into two separate areas. Soft landscaping refers to alterations to plants, trees and bushes, as well as laying turf. Hard landscaping is used to group adjustments to terrain like the installation of patios, walls, fences, decking, driveways, or artificial grass. Landscaping will also include maintenance jobs like mowing and strimming lawns, trimming hedges and bushes and pruning trees, although these activities are usually performed together with larger scale changes to the garden itself.
Professional landscaping experts will conduct a survey of your garden and suggest for you the best transformations to maximise the use of your space. If you have always wanted an outdoor patio, sleeper beds for planting or a water fountain, a landscape company will undertake the design and build of these elements. Furthermore, many landscaping companies also offer an aftercare service, where they will undertake routine maintenance on your garden to ensure its new features stay in perfect condition. Landscaping works can make your garden and the other areas around your property such as your driveway a genuinely practical and stylish space that you can enjoy for many years to come.
