Paving is a popular way of designing bespoke and appealing spaces in your garden. Strong and durable, paving offers a great way of providing spaces for dining or socialising, or it can simply be used as a low maintenance alternative to grass. Paving is also ideal for providing access to different areas of your garden, and is also perfect for use if you’ve got a gated side alley with your home, or for creating a path across your lawn. Garden paving is available in a variety of styles and types of stone. Whether you decide on marble, granite, limestone, slate, or sandstone, there will be a type of stone to suit your needs. Garden paving can even be found in vitrified tile, which is a type of very resilient porcelain tile suited to outdoor use. When considering your paving options, make sure that you speak to a variety of companies and manufacturers to ensure that you select the perfect style for your garden. Also consider utilising a differing style for detailing or edging, and choose a pattern that accentuates your space and draws attention to any features you want to showcase. Laying paving is a relatively easy project, but it will require a base to be laid that is level and capable of supporting the weight of the paving as well as of any furniture you would like to have on top of the paving.

Knaresborough is a historic market town, spa town and civil parish in the Borough of Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. Historically an area of the West Riding of Yorkshire, it is situated on the River Nidd, 4 miles east from the centre of Harrogate. The town is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 as ‘Cenheard’s fortress’, with the name of the region going through various alterations over the next few centuries. The growth of the town started around 1100, when it started to offer a market and appeal to traders to service the castle. The town was not granted a royal charter to verify its status as a market town up until 1310 by Edward II. A market continues to be held every Wednesday in the market square throughout the year. There are many landmarks scattered all around the town that draw in regular visitors. Some examples include the remains of Knaresborough Castle, the House in the Rock, the train viaduct over the River Nidd, and St. Robert’s Cave. Knaresborough is also the home of ‘Ye Oldest Chymist Shoppe’ in England, which opened in 1720, a time in which there was much skepticism about such establishments. The town is also host to a variety of social and cultural tourist attractions throughout the year. It has held the yearly Bed Race since 1966, which is arranged by the Knaresborough Lions Club, and the Festival of Entertainment and Visual Arts (FEVA), a yearly arts summer festival in the town centre, since 2001. There are 15 working clubs in the town, in addition to a wine bar and numerous restaurants. For all your house upgrades, make certain to make use of reliable contractors in Knaresborough to make certain of quality.
