Paving is a common way of providing bespoke and appealing spaces in your garden. Strong and durable, paving offers a great way of providing spaces for dining or socialising, or it can simply be used as a low maintenance alternative to lawn. Paving is also ideal for providing access to different regions of your garden, and is also perfect for use if you’ve got a gated side alley with your home, or for creating a path across your lawn. Garden paving comes in a number of designs and types of stone. Whether you choose marble, granite, limestone, slate, or sandstone, there will be a kind of stone to suit your needs. Garden paving can be found in vitrified tile, which is a sort of very hard wearing porcelain tile suitable for outdoor use. Whenever choosing your paving options, be sure to speak to several companies and manufacturers to make certain you find the perfect style for your garden. Also consider adding a differing style for detailing or edging, and choose a pattern that accentuates your space and draws focus on any features you want to highlight. Laying paving is a relatively easy project, but it will require a base to be laid that is level and able to support the weight of the paving as well as of any furniture you want to have on top of the paving.

Ullapool is a village of around 1,500 inhabitants in Ross and Cromarty, Scottish Highlands, located around 45 miles (72 kilometres) north-west of Inverness. In spite of its little dimension it is the biggest settlement for several miles about, and a vital port as well as traveler destination. The North Atlantic Drift passes Ullapool, regulating the temperature level. A few Cordyline australis (New Zealand cabbage trees) are grown in the town as well as are commonly mistaken for hand trees. The community lies on Loch Broom, on the A835 road from Inverness. The Ullapool River flows with the village. On the eastern coast of Loch Broom, Ullapool was founded in 1788 as a herring port by the British Fisheries Society. It was made by Thomas Telford. Prior to then the town was just an unimportant hamlet of just over 20 homes. The harbour is still the edge of the community, used as an angling port, yachting haven, and ferry port. Ferryboats sail to Stornoway in the Outer Hebrides. The village was traditionally in Cromartyshire, an area comprised of several separate enclaves scattered across north Ross-shire. Cromartyshire was eliminated and also incorporated with bordering Ross-shire in 1890. A lot of the essential explorations of the Victorian period that contributed to the development of the idea of plate tectonics were made in this field, and there are still routine global geological conferences. It is called the leading geological hotspot in Scotland. Parliament granted permission in the 1890s for a railway from Ullapool to the main Highland network at Garve, however the scheme was deserted because of inadequate funds. The name is potentially originated from the Norse for “Wool farm” or “Ulli’s farm”.
