Patios continue to be a very fashionable method of creating practical outdoor spaces which can be used for socialising, dining, or just to enhance the beauty of your garden. Patios are made from block or slab paving and are available in a huge range of colours, patterns and designs. Patios can be laid in either random course patterns where the pattern is varied, or in repeating patterns that have a consistent effect. Patios are extremely durable and require minimal maintenance, only occasional cleaning to maintain the natural beauty of the stone. Patios are typically installed in locations where patio or French doors can open directly out onto them as this causes a seamless transition between the inside and outside spaces.
Patios come in a wide selection of colours and types of stone. Consider including a different colour and type of stone to either inlay a stylish design or as edging to accentuate the shape of your patio. It is important to consider the use of your patio when planning it and measure precisely to be sure that any furniture will fit the intended space. Expert patio and paving companies will be able to design you a patio that perfectly satisfies your preferences and creates an outdoor area that is practical as well as beautiful.
