Patios remain a very common method of creating practical outdoor spaces that you can use for entertaining, dining, or simply to enhance the beauty of your garden. Patios are constructed from block or slab paving and can come in a large variety of colours, patterns and designs. Patios can be laid in either random course patterns where the pattern is varied, or in repeating patterns that have a consistent effect. Patios are extremely hard wearing and demand minimal maintenance, only infrequent cleaning to retain the natural beauty of the stone. Patios are usually installed in locations where patio or French doors can open directly out onto them as this results in a seamless transition between the inside and outside spaces. Patios come in a wide variety of colours and types of stone. Consider including a different colour and kind of stone to either inlay a fashionable design or as edging to complement the shape of your patio. It is crucial to consider the use of your patio when planning it and measure precisely to be sure that any furniture will fit the intended space. Specialist patio and paving companies will be able to design you a patio that perfectly satisfies your preferences and creates an outdoor area that is useful as well as beautiful.
