Patios remain a very fashionable method of creating practical outdoor spaces which can be used for entertaining, dining, or just to enhance the appeal of your garden. Patios are made from block or slab paving and can come in a large assortment of colours, patterns and designs. Patios can be laid in either random course patterns where the pattern is varied, or in repeating patterns that have a consistent effect. Patios are particularly hard wearing and require hardly any maintenance, only infrequent cleaning to preserve the natural beauty of the stone. Patios are typically installed in locations where patio or French doors can open directly out onto them as this causes a seamless transition between the inside and outside spaces.
Patios come in a wide selection of colours and types of stone. Consider using a different colour and kind of stone to either inlay a stylish design or as edging to complement the shape of your patio. It is important to consider the use of your patio when planning it and measure precisely to be sure that any furniture fits the intended space. Specialist patio and paving companies can design you a patio that perfectly satisfies your needs and creates an outdoor area that is functional as well as beautiful.
