Stump grinding describes the process where the stump of a tree that has been felled is cleared away. Generally after trees are felled several inches of the trunk and the root structure are retained in the ground, making the local space unusable in addition to possibly attracting insect pests or harbouring tree diseases like honey fungus. If your garden has stumps in the soil, having them extracted can clear the area, offering added space that could be used to increase your lawn or produce fresh areas to lay patio or decking.
Expert stump grinding businesses can extract stumps of any scale. The method ordinarily requires cutting the stump as close to the ground as possible using a chainsaw, and then using specialist stump grinding equipment to grind away the stump. Stumps are ground down to roughly 10-12 inches below the dirt surface to permit planting, although in some cases landscaping projects might require the stump to be ground deeper than this. The wood chipping that is made by the stump grinding could be either infilled back into the hole and used as mulch in other areas of your garden, or the stump grinding company can remove it and dispose of it in an eco-friendly way. Also, lots of specialist stump grinding companies have specialist thin equipment that could be employed if there is limited access to your garden for instance, via a side alley.

Get Ballachulish pros
The town of Ballachulish in Lochaber, Highland, Scotland, is centred on former slate quarries. The name Ballachulish (Ballecheles, 1522– Straits town,) was extra appropriately put on the area currently called North Ballachulish, to the north of Loch Leven, but was laid hold of for the quarry villages at East Laroch as well as West Laroch, either side of the River Laroch, which were in fact within Glencoe and South Ballachulish respectively. The primary industry is now tourism, although the majority of visitors pass quickly by the village itself. The name Ballachulish (from Scottish Gaelic, Baile a’ Chaolais) means “the Town by the Narrows”. The narrows concerned is Caolas Mhic Phàdraig – Peter or Patrick’s son’s narrows, at the mouth of Loch Leven. As there was no road to the head of Loch Leven until 1927, the Ballachulish Ferry, established in 1733, and those at Invercoe/Callert as well as Caolas na Disadvantage were necessary. The Ballachulish ferryboat closed in December 1975 when the Ballachulish Bridge finally opened. The Ballachulish Hotel as well as Ballachulish House (until recently a country house hotel) lie near the narrows at (south) Ballachulish Ferry rather than in the “contemporary” town some 3 miles (5 km) eastern. Ballachulish House was deemed to be haunted, and the drive leading to it was ridden by a headless horseman. The community of Glenachulish lies in Gleann a’ Chaolais, the glen that diminishes to the tightens. This is the topic of the Gaelic track, Gleann Bhaile Chaoil composed by John Cameron (1865– 1951) as well as recognized locally both as the Paisley Bard and by his regional label Iain Cealaidh. He is frequently puzzled with an additional local poet likewise called John Cameron, understood locally as Iain Rob (1822– 1898). Gleann a’ Chaolais is ringed by Beinn a’ Bheithir, a massif which has 2 munros – Sgorr Dhearg and Sgorr Dhonuill. Over the last few years a number of brand-new residences have been developed locally in addition to vacation cabins and an art gallery. Likewise the areas of Gleann a’ Chaolais have actually been turned into the 9-hole Dragon’s Tooth fairway. Ignoring the narrows is the monument to James of the Glen, “hanged on this spot for a criminal activity of which he was blameless”. Robert Louis Stevenson based his novel Kidnapped around the tale of the Appin Murder. Whoever did kill The Red Fox (Campbell of Glenure) is still not known.
