Stump grinding refers to the procedure in which the stump of a felled tree is disposed of. Usually during tree felling a couple of inches of the trunk and the root system are left behind in the earth, making the nearby area impractical to use and also potentially providing a habitat for insect pests or harbouring tree diseases such as honey fungus. If your back yard has stumps in the earth, extracting them can open up the area, providing you with additional space that you could use to maximise your lawn or provide new areas to lay patio or decking.
Specialist stump grinding firms can remove stumps of any proportion. The process typically demands slicing the stump as close to the ground as possible using a chainsaw, and then utilising specialised stump grinding equipment to grind away at the stump. Stumps are ground down to around 10-12 inches under the dirt surface to permit replanting, although in some cases landscaping projects might need the stump to be removed deeper than this. The wood chippings that are produced by the stump grinding may be either infilled back into the hole and used as compost for other areas of your garden, or the stump grinding company may remove it for you and dispose of it in an environmentally friendly manner. In addition, numerous skilled stump grinding companies provide specialist slim equipment that can be used if there is restricted access to your garden for instance, through a side alley.

Brierley Hill is a compact town and electoral ward of the Dudley Metropolitan Borough within the West Midlands of England. It is about 2.5 miles to the south of central Dudley and 2 miles to the north of Stourbridge. Brierley Hill was originally in Staffordshire, but is now a part of the West Midlands metropolitan county ever since its creation in 1974. Part of the Black Country, and inside a heavily industrialised area of the Dudley Borough, it boasts a resident population of approximately 13,935 people, in line with the 2011 census. Mostly produced by the Industrial Revolution, Brierley Hill features a comparatively modern history, with the first written records of the town going back to the seventeenth century. Initially established as a settlement within the woodland of Pensnett Chase, it started to expand rapidly after the chase’s enclosure in 1748, and was first displayed on a map in 1785 following the mapping of the Stourbridge Canal. The town is best known for glass and steel production, though the industry has declined significantly since the 1970s. On the list of the biggest factories within the area was the Round Oak Steelworks, which was closed down and renovated during the 1980s to become the Merry Hill Shopping Centre. The Merry Hill Shopping Centre is situated immediately east of Brierley Hill. One of the largest shopping centres in the United Kingdom, it was built between 1985 and 1989 on the grounds of Merry Hill Farm, the final operating urban farm in the West Midlands. Since 2008, Brierley Hill, including the neighbouring Waterfront Business Park and Merry Hill Shopping Centre, has been designated as the Strategic Town Centre of the Dudley Borough, with the purpose of creating a new town centre for the borough. For all of your house upgrades, be sure that you pick reliable specialists in Brierley Hill to make sure you get the best quality service.
