Stump grinding describes the procedure where the stump of a previously felled tree is disposed of. Often after trees are felled a few inches of the trunk and the root structure are left in the earth, making the nearby area impractical to use and also possibly appealing to insects or harbouring tree diseases such as honey fungus. If your garden has stumps in the earth, having them cleared can open up the space, providing you with extra space that you could use to increase your lawn area or provide fresh spaces to fit patio or decking.
Professional stump grinding firms can clear away stumps of any scale. The technique normally calls for trimming the stump as close to the ground as possible working with a chainsaw, and afterwards utilising specialist stump grinding equipment to grind away the stump. Stumps are ground down to about 10-12 inches under the dirt surface to permit planting, although in some circumstances landscaping projects might need the stump to be removed deeper than this. The wood chippings that are made by the stump grinding may be either infilled back into the hole and used as mulch for other areas of your garden, or the stump grinding company can remove it and dispose of it in an eco-friendly way. Furthermore, lots of professional stump grinding companies have specialist thin machines that may be used if there is restricted access to your garden for instance, through a side alleyway.

Ivybridge is a small town and civil parish in the South Hams, in Devon, England. It is found about 9 miles (14.5 kilometres) east of Plymouth. It is at the southern extremity of Dartmoor, a National Park of England and Wales and is found along the A38 ‘Devon Expressway’ road. According to the 2011 Census, the town has a permanent population of around 11851 people. Detailed in records as early as the 13th century, Ivybridge’s early history is marked by its status as an important crossing-point over the River Erme on the Exeter-to-Plymouth route. In the 16th century, mills were developed using the River Erme’s power. The parish of Saint John was formed in 1836, with Ivybridge becoming a civil parish in 1894. It emerged as a town in 1977. The early urbanisation and development of Ivybridge predominately accompanied the Industrial Revolution. When the South Devon Railway Company developed its train route through Ivybridge in the 19th century, a paper mill was constructed alongside it, which triggered an increase in housing close by. The paper mill closed in the beginning of the 21st century, after being in operation for over 150 years in the town, and the buildings are being transformed to homes and shops. The shopping area is mainly along Fore Street, with some little shops and restaurants located in the Glanvilles Mill shopping centre which is accessible from Fore Street. The shopping centre includes over 35 shops, that includes both local and nationwide chain stores, as well as restaurants and cafés. Although sometimes described as a dormitory town, lots of people work in the town itself, and farming continues to play an economic role for Ivybridge’s hinterland. The region bordering Ivybridge is practically entirely farmland. For all of your home improvements, make sure to find dependable professionals in Ivybridge to make certain of quality.
