Stump grinding is the procedure in which the stump of a felled tree is cleared away. Often when trees are felled a couple of inches of the trunk and the root structure are left in the soil, making the close-by area unusable together with potentially enticing insects or harbouring tree diseases like honey fungus. If your back yard has stumps in the soil, having them cleared can open up the space, offering more space that you could use to expand your lawn area or provide fresh areas to fit patio or decking.
Specialist stump grinding companies can clear away stumps of any size. The method generally involves cutting the stump as close to the ground as possible working with a chainsaw, and afterwards employing specialised stump grinding machinery to grind away at the stump. Stumps are ground down to around 10-12 inches under the soil surface to allow for replanting, however sometimes landscaping projects might require the stump to be ground deeper than this. The wood chippings that are generated by the stump grinding may be either infilled back into the hole and used as mulch in other areas of your garden, or the stump grinding company could remove it and dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way. Furthermore, lots of experienced stump grinding companies provide specialist narrow machines that may be used if there is limited access to your garden such as through a side passageway.

Leatherhead is a town in Surrey, England on the right edge of the river Mole, and at the edge of the contiguous built-up area of London. The town covers a total area of around 4.84 square miles. Its local district is Mole Valley. Records exist of the region from Anglo Saxon England. Just north-east of the midpoint of Surrey and at a junction of ancient north– south and east– west roads, elements of the town have been a focal point for transportation throughout its history. A major early spur to this was the construction of the bridge over the seasonally navigable River Mole in the early medieval time period. Later the Swan Hotel offered 300 years of service to horse-drawn coaches. In the late 20th century the M25 motorway was constructed nearby. In accordance with the 2011 Census, the town has a permanent population of around 11316 people. The town has re-developed occasionally through varying economic demands and planning. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Mole Valley District Council made plans to modernise the town, with a new pedestrianised high street and a sizeable one-way system. It has a merged theatre and movie theatre. Leatherhead’s different business properties generate lunchtime demand and its eateries and theatre attract people from throughout Surrey. The undulating streetscape lends itself more to warm summertime nights. The theatre (see listed below) is a movie theatre plus has art shows. The bypass streets to the town centre close and feature each year in the London-Surrey cycle classic which is ranked by the world’s cycling federation. For all your home renovations, make certain to identify reliable contractors in Leatherhead to make certain of quality.
