Tree felling can be performed for a range of reasons. Trees that are diseased or damaged and incapable of recovering may need to be felled to make sure that they do not fall by themselves and cause injury or destruction of property. Similarly, if trees are harmed by bad weather or other factors and have partially fallen they will often need felling to ensure that they do not cause any additional destruction either to properties or adjoining trees. Domestic tree felling can even be carried out if a tree has grown too big or is particularly near a building and therefore more likely to cause structural problems. Furthermore, trees in gardens can be felled if they are obscuring the light to a property or otherwise impacting your enjoyment of your garden. While it can be tempting to carry out tree felling as a DIY job, it is hazardous to undertake without the appropriate training and planning. Experienced tree surgeons can fell trees in a safe way and ensure that they do not cause any damage to property as they are felled. If the space around a tree is constrained, the tree can be felled in parts to limit the risk of it falling and causing destruction in the surrounding area. Tree felling companies will also remove the felled tree in a eco friendly way, and could even cut up the tree into logs for use in a wood burner or stove.

Get Fort William pros

Fort William is a settlement in the Highlands of Scotland. Originally founded on the still-extant village of Inverlochy, the town sits at the southern end of the Great Glen, Fort William is found near the head of Loch Linnhe, among Scotland’s longest sea lochs, next to the mouth of the rivers Nevis and Lochy. It is near to Ben Nevis, the highest peak in the British Isles, Glen Nevis and the town of Achnaphubuil is on the opposite coast of the loch. When the train line opened to Fort William on 7 August 1894, the station was given prime position at the south side of the town. The effect was that the town was separated from the lochside by train tracks till the 1970s when the present by-pass was constructed, and the station was re-located to the north side. According to the 2001 Census, it has a permanent resident population of approximately 9908. This makes Fort William the second largest settlement in the Highlands of Scotland and the largest town: only the city of Inverness is larger. Within this population, around 726 people, forming 7.33 percent of the population, can speak Gaelic. Fort William is a leading tourist centre, with Glen Coe just to the south, Aonach Mòr to the east and Glenfinnan to the west, on the Road to the Isles. It is a hub for hillwalking and climbing due to its proximity to Ben Nevis and lots of other Munro mountains. It is additionally known for its local downhill mtb track. It is the start and end of both the West Highland Way (Milngavie-Fort William) and the Great Glen Way (a walk/cycle way Fort William-Inverness).
