Tree felling may be performed for a range of reasons. Trees that are diseased or damaged and not able to recover might need to be felled to be certain that they do not fall on their own and cause damage or destruction of property. Similarly, if trees are harmed by inclement weather or other factors and have partly fallen they will usually need felling to ensure that they do not cause any additional damage either to properties or neighbouring trees. Domestic tree felling can also be carried out if a tree has grown too large or is especially near to a building and therefore very likely to cause structural damage. In addition, trees in gardens can be felled if they are obscuring the light to a property or otherwise impacting your enjoyment of your garden. Though it can be tempting to handle tree felling as a DIY job, it is very risky to undertake without the appropriate training and planning. Expert tree surgeons can fell trees in a safe way and ensure that they do not cause any harm to property as they are felled. If the space around a tree is small, the tree can be felled in sections to limit the chance of it falling and causing destruction in the surrounding area. Tree felling companies will also remove the fallen tree in a eco friendly way, and could even cut up the tree into logs for use in a wood burner or stove.

Fortrose is a community and also former royal burgh in Highland, Scotland, UK. It is on the Moray Firth, regarding 6 miles (10 kilometres) north-east of Inverness. The town is known for its wrecked 13th century cathedral, and as the home of the Brahan Seer. In the Middle Ages it was the seat of the bishopric of Ross, and also previously called Chanonry, for being the Chanory of Ross. The cathedral was largely demolished in the mid-seventeenth century by Oliver Cromwell to give structure products for a citadel at Inverness. The vaulted south aisle, with bell-tower, and a removed chapter house (used as the tollbooth of Fortrose after the Reformation) stay. These pieces, though moderate in range, present significant building refinement, as well as are in the care of Historic Scotland (no entryway cost). The burgh is a preferred area for trying to find bottlenose dolphins (see Chanonry Point) in the Moray Firth. Fortrose shares a fairway with Rosemarkie. Set on the Chanonry Ness the training course stretches out into the Moray Firth and also provides good sights of Ft George. The training course is well known for its trademark 4th Hole “Lighthouse”. The lighthouse in question is the Chanonry Point lighthouse which was designed by Alan Stevenson and was first lit 15 May 1846. Public buildings in Fortrose include a recreation centre, collection and the only senior high school on the Black Isle, Fortrose Academy. The right enunciation of the community’s name according to regional usage is with the tension on the initial syllable.
