Landscaping is a term which means transforming the visible features of land, and can as a result refer to an array of gardening tasks, from simple DIY projects to full scale design and build landscaping services. Landscaping is usually divided into two distinct areas. Soft landscaping refers to alterations to plants, trees and bushes, as well as laying turf. Hard landscaping is used to group changes to terrain like installing patios, walls, fences, decking, driveways, or artificial grass. Landscaping will also include maintenance jobs like mowing and strimming lawns, trimming hedges and bushes and pruning trees, although these activities are generally performed along with larger scale improvements to the garden itself. Professional landscaping experts will be able to conduct a survey of your garden and suggest for you the most suitable changes to maximise the use of your space. If you have always wanted a patio, sleeper beds for planting or a water fountain, a landscape company will perform the design and build of these elements. In addition, many landscaping companies also offer an aftercare service, where they will carry out regular upkeep on your garden to ensure its new features remain in perfect condition. Landscaping works can make your garden and the other areas around your house such as your driveway a truly useful and stylish space that you can enjoy for many years to come.

Emsworth is a town in Hampshire on the south coast of England, near the border of West Sussex. It lies at the north end of an arm of Chichester Harbour, a large and shallow inlet from the English Channel. Adjacent to Emsworth is Thorney Island. The River Ems, which is named after the village and not, as is frequently assumed, the town being named after the river, flows into the Slipper millpond. The mill itself is now made use of as offices. In accordance with the 2011 Census, the town has a permanent resident population of around 9492 people. Emsworth expanded quickly during the course of the 20th century, reaching a population of about 5000 by the middle of the century after having around 2000 locals in the 19th century. The 1000th house in Emsworth was built in 1953. In the 1960s, substantial parts of the region were developed with a mix of bungalow and terraced housing. In 1906, building and construction commenced on the post office, with local cricketer George Wilder laying an engraved brick. The renamed Emsworth Recreation Ground dates from 1909 and is the current home of Emsworth Cricket Club, which was established in 1811 and enjoyed its Bicentennial in 2011. It was marked with a Grand Match versus the MCC. Cricket in Emsworth has been played at the exact same ground, Cold Harbour Lawn, ever since 1761.
