Maintenance and upkeep is a substantial part of any beautiful garden. Although small gardens might only require occasional maintenance, larger gardens can easily become overgrown and difficult to use and enjoy. Hiring an experienced gardener to maintain your garden will ensure it looks as attractive as possible, and can even save you money in the long term, as the cost of rejuvenating an overgrown garden can be very high, and could even require replacing any damaged plants. Garden maintenance jobs will obviously vary considerably depending on the size of your garden and the type of plants that are in it. Lawns will need mowing, strimming and edging, as well as grass feeding and weeding to kill off any weeds or moss that could be growing. This can ensure your garden features a appealing green lawn. Plants and flowerbeds will require planting and pruning, while hedges and large bushes or trees will need trimming to ensure they do not block out too much light or become overgrown. Professional garden maintenance companies can undertake all of these jobs. They will bring all of their own tools, which could save you from the need to store bulky garden tools, as well as disposing of your garden waste in an environmentally friendly way. Garden maintenance companies will often arrange to undertake maintenance in an ongoing fashion and will agree a maintenance timetable of work with you. Typically, this will involve a visit every couple of weeks, potentially increasing to every week at specific times of the year.

Emsworth is a small town in Hampshire on the south coast of England, near the border of West Sussex. It lies at the north side of an arm of Chichester Harbour, a large and shallow inlet from the English Channel. Adjacent to Emsworth is Thorney Island. The River Ems, which is named after the town and not, as is typically believed, the town being named after the river, flows into the Slipper millpond. The mill itself is now made use of as office spaces. According to the 2011 Census, the town has a permanent resident population of around 9492 people. Emsworth progressed rapidly during the course of the 20th century, reaching a population of about 5000 by the middle of the century after having around 2000 citizens in the 19th century. The 1000th house in Emsworth was built in 1953. In the 1960s, substantial parts of the area were developed with a mix of bungalow and terraced housing. In 1906, building began on the post office, with regional cricketer George Wilder laying an engraved brick. The renamed Emsworth Recreation Ground dates from 1909 and is the present-day home of Emsworth Cricket Club, which was founded in 1811 and celebrated its Bicentennial in 2011. It was signified with a Grand Match against the MCC. Cricket in Emsworth has been played at the exact same ground, Cold Harbour Lawn, since 1761. In the 19th century, the town had as many as 30 bars and beer houses. The village has a basin for small yachts and fishing boats, which fills at high tide and can be emptied through a sluice at low tide.
