While its value as an element of garden design is sometimes ignored, fencing is a key part of both the appearance and practicality of your garden. Garden fencing tends to differ between the front and rear of properties, with higher and more secure wooden fencing commonly being used in the rear garden, while the front of the house generally employs more compact and more ornamental fencing. Fencing for the front of the home tends to feature a low height and large gaps between the wooden slats. Also, it is often stained to improve its decorative effect.
Fencing in the back garden is commonly used for privacy and to protect the borders of a garden, as well as to keep pets or other small animals or wildlife either in or out. Due to this, these kinds of fences are approximately 6 feet high and use wooden slats without gaps in between. Due to the increased height, these fences commonly have concrete footings laid between each panel to offer stability and stop the fence from blowing over or being damaged in poor weather.
Garden fencing sections are generally constructed from wood. The posts in between the sections are manufactured from either timber, stone, or concrete. Recently, fence panels have started to be made of heavily recycled and sustainable composite materials such as recycled bamboo.

Get Beauly pros
Beauly is a community in the Kilmorack Church of the Scottish County of Inverness, on the River Beauly, 10 miles (16 km) west of Inverness by the Far North train line. The community is now within the Highland council area. The land around Beauly is fertile – traditionally corn was grown extensively and more recently fruit has actually successfully been farmed. The town traditionally traded in coal, hardwood, lime, grain and fish. In January 2010, the Scottish government approved controversial prepare for a high-voltage line upgrade that will start in Beauly and also end in Denny, Falkirk. The new power line, part of a plan to lug electricity generated by wind farms on the Western Isles, was called “the most substantial grid facilities project in a generation” by Jim Mather MSP. The 220-kilometre (140 mi) line will contain a network of 600 pylons, ranging in elevation from 42 to 65 metres (138 to 213 ft). The first part of the transmission circuit (Beauly to Ft Augustus) was turned on in July 2013. The population of Beauly was 1,126 in 1991, 1,283 in 2001 as well as 1,365 in 2011.
