Although its value as an aspect of garden design is sometimes neglected, fencing is an integral part of both the appearance and useability of your garden. Garden fencing is likely to differ between the front and back of properties, with higher and more tough wooden fencing typically being installed in the rear garden, while the front of the home often utilises smaller and more decorative fencing. Fencing for the front of the home tends to have a low height and large spaces between the wooden slats. It is also often stained to improve its ornamental effect. Fencing in the back garden is often used for privacy and to maintain the boundaries of a garden, as well as to keep domestic pets or other small animals or wildlife either in or out. Due to this, these styles of fences are approximately 6 feet high and use wooden slats without spaces in between. Due to the increased height, these fences typically have concrete footings laid in between each panel to provide stability and prevent the fence from blowing over or being damaged in poor weather. Garden fencing sections are generally made of wood. The posts in between the sections are made from either timber, stone, or concrete. More recently, fence panels have started to be constructed from heavily recycled and sustainable composite materials such as recycled bamboo.

Carrbridge is a village in Badenoch as well as Strathspey in the Scottish Highlands. It exists off the A9 on the A938, west of Skye of Curr, southeast of Tomatin, near Bogroy. It has the oldest stone bridge in the Highlands and also the nearby old want woodland has the Landmark Forest Adventure Park. Carrbridge has to do with 10 kilometres (6 mi) north of Aviemore and also develops a gateway to the Cairngorms National Park. It was an early centre for skiing in Scotland. In the 2001 census the town had a population of 708 individuals, with the majority used in tourism. Till the 1980s bypass was constructed, the A9 ran right with the village. Carrbridge is served by Carrbridge railway station on the Highland Main Line. Regional dispute still raves relating to the name Carrbridge itself, with some choosing to see it hyphenated to Carr-bridge. The word “Carr” has nothing to do with motorised transportation but is derived from the Old Norse word for boggy location.
