Maintenance and upkeep is a substantial aspect of any beautiful garden. While small gardens might only require periodic maintenance, larger sized gardens can quickly become overgrown and difficult to use and appreciate. Hiring an expert gardener to take care of your garden will ensure it looks as beautiful as possible, and might even save you money in the long run, as the cost of cutting back an overgrown garden can be very expensive, and could even require replanting any damaged plants. Garden maintenance jobs will obviously differ drastically depending on the size of your garden and the type of plants that are in it. Lawns will require mowing, strimming and edging, as well as grass feeding and weeding to kill off any weeds or moss that could be growing. This will make sure your garden features a appealing green lawn. Plants and flowerbeds will need planting and pruning, while hedges and large bushes or trees will need trimming to ensure they do not block out too much light or become overgrown. Professional garden maintenance companies will be able to perform all of these jobs. They will bring all of their own tools, which may save you from the need to store bulky garden tools, as well as disposing of your garden waste in an environmentally friendly way. Garden maintenance companies will often plan to execute maintenance in an ongoing fashion and will agree a maintenance schedule of work with you. Normally, this will consist of a visit every couple of weeks, potentially increasing to weekly at specific times of the year.

Westerham is a town and civil parish in the Sevenoaks Area of Kent, England, located 5 miles (8 km) west of Sevenoaks. It is recorded as early as the 9th century, and also was stated in the Domesday Book in a Norman type, Oistreham (compare Ouistreham in Normandy, Oistreham in 1086). Ham is Old English for a town or homestead, therefore Westerham indicates a westerly homestead. The River Darent streams through the community, and also formerly powered three watermills. Westerham was residence to the Black Eagle Brewery, which was taken over by Taylor Walker & Co in the 1950s, becoming part of Ind Coope in 1959 and also enclosing 1965. Yeast from the brewery was maintained at the National Collection of Yeast Cultures and also is currently used by the present day Westerham Brewery which was developed in 2004 by Robert Wicks. The brewery generates a range of ales, consisting of Westerham British Bulldog. Westerham was home to Crayford Engineering, a successful vehicle conversion firm, from 1962 to the 1980s, functioning from a workshop at Squerryes Mede.
