Patios continue to be a very widely used way of creating practical outdoor spaces which you can use for socialising, dining, or just to enhance the appeal of your garden. Patios are built from block or slab paving and can come in a huge range of colours, patterns and designs. Patios can be laid in either random course patterns where the pattern is varied, or in repeating patterns that have a consistent effect. Patios are particularly hard wearing and demand minimal maintenance, only occasional cleaning to retain the natural beauty of the stone. Patios are typically installed in locations where patio or French doors can open directly out onto them as this creates a smooth transition between the inside and outside spaces.
Patios come in a wide range of colours and types of stone. Give some thought to using a different colour and type of stone to either inlay an elegant design or as edging to highlight the shape of your patio. It is critical to consider the use of your patio when designing it and measure accurately to ensure that any furniture will fit the intended space. Specialist patio and paving companies can design you a patio that perfectly meets your preferences and creates an outdoor area that is functional as well as beautiful.

Get Chard pros
Chard is a town and a civil parish in the English county of Somerset. It lies on the A30 road close to the Devon border, 15 miles (24 km) south west of Yeovil. The parish features a population of approximately 13000 and, at an elevation of 121 metres (397 ft), Chard is the southernmost and highest town in Somerset. Administratively Chard comprises a part of the district of South Somerset. The name of the town was Cerden in 1065 and Cerdre in the Domesday Book of 1086. Just after the Norman Conquest, Chard was held by the Bishop of Wells. The town’s initial charter was from King John in 1234. Chard is most famously referred to as the birthplace of powered flight, as in 1848, John Stringfellow first revealed that engine-powered flight was possible. Percy and Ernist Petter, who formed Westland Aircraft Works, witnessed some of Stringfellow’s demonstrations in Chard and often asked for support in the formation of Westland’s initial aircraft development factory on the outskirts of Yeovil. Agusta Westland now holds the Henson and Stringfellow lecture yearly for the RAeS. Chard Reservoir, approximately a mile north east of the town, is a Local Nature Reserve, and Snowdon Hill Quarry a geological Site of Special Scientific Interest. Major employers in the town include Numatic International Limited and the Oscar Mayer food processing plant. You’ll find a variety of sporting and cultural facilities, with secondary education being delivered at Holyrood Academy. Religious sites include the Church of St Mary the Virgin which dates back to the late 11th century. For all your residence upgrades, make sure that you use trustworthy professionals in Chard to make sure you get the very best quality.
