Patios remain a very widely used way of creating practical outdoor spaces that can be used for entertaining, dining, or simply to enhance the appeal of your garden. Patios are built from block or slab paving and can come in an enormous variety of colours, patterns and designs. Patios can be laid in either random course patterns where the pattern is varied, or in repeating patterns which have a consistent effect. Patios are extremely durable and need hardly any maintenance, only infrequent cleaning to protect the natural beauty of the stone. Patios are often installed in locations where patio or French doors can open directly out onto them as this results in a smooth transition between the inside and outside spaces.
Patios come in a wide range of colours and types of stone. Give some thought to including a different colour and kind of stone to either inlay a fashionable design or as edging to emphasise the shape of your patio. It is important to consider the use of your patio when planning it and measure precisely to ensure that any furniture will fit the intended space. Professional patio and paving companies can design you a patio that perfectly meets your needs and creates an outdoor area that is useful as well as beautiful.

Minehead is a coastal town and civil parish in the English county of Somerset. It rests on the south shore of the Bristol Channel, approximately 21 miles (34 kilometres) north-west of the county town of Taunton, 12 miles (19 kilometres) from the border with the county of Devon and in distance of the Exmoor National Park. In accordance with the 2011 Census, the town has a permanent population of around 11981, meaning that it is the most heavily populated town in the West Somerset local government district. There is evidence of human occupation in the region since the Bronze and Iron Ages. There was a small port at Minehead by 1380, which turned into a major trading centre through the medieval period. A lot of trade moved to more substantial ports through the 20th century, but pleasure steamers did call at the port. A notable surge in building throughout the early years of the 20th century resulted in the wide main shopping avenue and nearby roads with Edwardian-style architecture. There are a variety of schools and religious, cultural and sporting facilities consisting of sailing and wind surfing and golf. A popular ancient local tradition involves the Hobby Horse, which takes to the streets for four days on the eve of the very first of May each year, with accompanying artists and rival horses. The town is the starting point of the South West Coast Path National Trail, which is the nation’s longest long-distance countryside hiking path. The Minehead Railway was opened in 1874 and closed in 1971, but it has actually since been reopened as the West Somerset Railway.
