Patios remain an extremely widely used method of creating functional outdoor spaces which can be used for entertaining, dining, or simply to enhance the attractiveness of your garden. Patios are constructed from block or slab paving and are available in an enormous assortment of colours, patterns and designs. Patios can be laid in either random course patterns where the pattern is varied, or in repeating patterns that have a consistent effect. Patios are extremely hard wearing and need hardly any maintenance, only periodic cleaning to preserve the natural beauty of the stone. Patios are typically installed in locations where patio or French doors can open directly out onto them as this causes a seamless transition between the inside and outside spaces.
Patios come in a wide variety of colours and types of stone. Give some thought to using a different colour and type of stone to either inlay a fashionable design or as edging to emphasise the shape of your patio. It is essential to consider the use of your patio when planning it and measure accurately to be sure that any furniture fits the intended space. Experienced patio and paving companies can design you a patio that perfectly meets your requirements and creates an outdoor area that is functional as well as beautiful.
