Wooden decking is an increasingly prevalent choice for creating outdoor seating areas in gardens. Due to the natural beauty of wood, they can be very beautiful spaces which can be used year round with the addition of external heating and lighting. Wooden decking is usually fitted in locations in front of patio or French doors where they can create a seamless transition between inside and outside spaces. Wooden decking can come in virtually any size or shape to accommodate any area. Curved designs or large areas connected by pathways can create a striking effect.
Wooden decking is reasonably quick to install and causes little disruption, particularly when compared to alternatives like patio or paving. It can even be installed over the top of an existing patio. It is necessary however to be certain that your wooden decking is structurally sound and able to take the load of any furniture or plants that you want to use on the decking.
There is a range of species of wood that can be used in wooden decking. Commonly decking is constructed from hardwood, but there are softwoods available that fulfil the durability requirements. As hardwood decking will require maintenance, which typically includes yearly cleaning and staining for weather proofing, composite woods are becoming more popular for use in wooden decking as they are more robust and require much less maintenance.

Get Broxbourne pros
Broxbourne is a commuter town in Hertfordshire in the East of England with a population of about 13,300 in the 2001 Census. The town’s sister city is the Sicilian city of Sutera. The name Broxbourne is believed to find its origins from the Old English words brocc and burna which means Badger stream. The Manor of Broxbourne is described in the Domesday Book, which names Broxbourne Mill. The area was exploited for its gravel and sand extraction in the twentieth century. This came to an end when the materials had been depleted at the end of the 1960s leaving lots of water filled lakes. Lots of the lakes are now a part of the Lee Valley Regional Park. Though urbanised with industrial and commercial manufacturing, the entire area retains its rural character and is liked by individuals commuting to London. The New River which passes by way of the centre of the town, was dug out in the early 17th century. Broxbourne railway station was constructed in 1840. A terracotta works was opened soon after by James Pulham and Son, who specialised in developing artificial rock gardens; some of their work is preserved within the gardens at Sandringham House and Buckingham Palace. There are 600 companies in the borough, with warehousing and distribution sectors being very well represented. The employers with over 250 employees include: Fitzpatrick PLC in Hoddesdon (civil engineers); J Sainsbury, also in Hoddesdon; Marks & Spencer; Turnford Retailers and Merck Sharp & Dohme in Hoddesdon related to pharmaceutical research. The national headquarters of Tesco are at Delamere Road, Cheshunt. The Borough of Broxbourne at Park Plaza Waltham Cross is also home to the biggest printing plant in the world, which creates publications for News International including The Sun, The Times and The Sun on Sunday.
