Paving is a fashionable way of designing bespoke and appealing spaces in your garden. Hard wearing and durable, paving offers an excellent way of providing spaces for eating or socialising, or it can simply be used as a low maintenance alternative to lawn. Paving is also great for providing access to different areas of your garden, and is perfect for use if you’ve got a gated side alley with your home, or for creating a path across your lawn.
Garden paving comes in an array of designs and types of stone. Whether you choose marble, granite, limestone, slate, or sandstone, there is bound to be a type of stone to suit your needs. Garden paving can be found in vitrified tile, which is a kind of very durable porcelain tile suitable for outdoor use. Whenever choosing your paving options, make sure to speak to a number of companies and manufacturers to make sure that you choose the perfect style for your garden. Also consider using a differing style for detailing or edging, and choose a pattern that enhances your space and draws attention to any features you want to highlight.
Laying paving is a relatively easy project, but it will require a base to be laid that is level and able to support the weight of the paving as well as of any furniture you would like to have on top of the paving.

Faversham is a market town and civil parish in the Swale region of Kent, England. The town lies 48 miles from London and 10 miles from Canterbury. According to the 2011 Census, the town has a permanent population of around 19316, increasing by 1606 from the 2001 Census. It sits beside the Swale, a strip of sea that separates mainland Kent from the Isle of Sheppey in the Thames Estuary. It is near to the A2, which travels through an ancient British track used by the Romans and the Anglo-Saxons, known as Watling Street. The town’s name is a blend of Latin and Old English, which translates to mean ‘the metal-worker’s village’. Faversham has had a settlement since before Roman times, and archaeology has actually shown that a Roman theatre was established in the town. In time, the town became an essential seaport and centre for brewing. The Shepherd Neame Brewery, created in 1698, continues to have a notable part in the regional economy as a significant employer. Between the 17th and the start of the 20th century, the town was the centre of the dynamites market, which decreased after an accident in 1916 killed more than 100 employees. This decline occurred simultaneously to the re-emergence of the town’s freight market, meaning that it had merely a slight impact on the economy. There many landmarks to be seen in the town, with churches which include St. Mary of Charity, Faversham Parish Church, the Maison Dieu and Faversham Recreation Ground. Existing for over 900 years, the market continues to be located in the town centre.
