Patios continue to be a very widely used way of creating practical outdoor spaces which you can use for entertaining, dining, or just to enhance the attractiveness of your garden. Patios are made from block or slab paving and are available in a huge array of colours, patterns and designs. Patios can be laid in either random course patterns where the pattern is varied, or in repeating patterns that have a consistent effect. Patios are very durable and require almost no maintenance, only occasional cleaning to protect the natural beauty of the stone. Patios are often installed in locations where patio or French doors can open directly out onto them as this creates a smooth transition between the inside and outside spaces.
Patios come in a huge range of colours and types of stone. Give some thought to adding a different colour and kind of stone to either inlay a fashionable design or as edging to emphasise the shape of your patio. It is essential to consider the use of your patio when designing it and measure precisely to be sure that any furniture will fit the intended space. Experienced patio and paving companies can design you a patio that perfectly satisfies your needs and creates an outdoor area that is functional as well as beautiful.
