Patios continue to be a very popular method of creating functional outdoor spaces which can be used for entertaining, dining, or simply to enhance the appeal of your garden. Patios are built from block or slab paving and are available in a huge array of colours, patterns and designs. Patios can be laid in either random course patterns where the pattern is varied, or in repeating patterns that have a consistent effect. Patios are incredibly hard wearing and need hardly any maintenance, only infrequent cleaning to preserve the natural beauty of the stone. Patios are often installed in locations where patio or French doors can open directly out onto them as this creates a smooth transition between the inside and outside spaces.
Patios come in a huge array of colours and types of stone. Give some thought to introducing a different colour and kind of stone to either inlay an elegant design or as edging to complement the shape of your patio. It is essential to consider the use of your patio when designing it and measure precisely to ensure that any furniture fits the intended space. Experienced patio and paving companies can design you a patio that perfectly fulfills your preferences and creates an outdoor area that is practical as well as beautiful.
