Although its importance as an aspect of garden design is sometimes disregarded, fencing is an essential part of both the aesthetics and usefulness of your garden. Garden fencing will differ between the front and back of properties, with taller and more tough wooden fencing commonly being used in the rear garden, while the front of the house typically features more compact and more decorative fencing. Fencing for the front of the home tends to feature a low height and large spaces between the wooden slats. Additionally, it is often coloured to enhance its ornamental effect.
Fencing in the back garden is generally used for privacy and to maintain the boundaries of a garden, as well as to keep pets or other small animals or wildlife either in or out. Because of this, these types of fences are around 6 feet high and use wooden slats without gaps in between. Because of the increased height, these fences often have concrete footings laid between each section to offer security and stop the fence from blowing over or being broken in poor weather.
Garden fencing sections are generally constructed from wood. The posts in between the panels are produced from either timber, stone, or concrete. Recently, fence panels have started to be made from heavily recycled and eco friendly composite materials such as recycled bamboo.

Barnehurst is a town and district in South East London in the London Borough of Bexley. It is north east of Bexleyheath, and is 13 miles east south-east of Charing Cross. It’s separated from North Bexleyheath by the A220 Erith Road.
The town was established soon after the sale of land in 1881 to build the Bexleyheath loop line between Lewisham and Dartford. Its name hails from the name of the railway station, which was named after Colonel Barne, who owned a local home and was vice-chairman of the railway company. These days, the railway station runs trains between London Charing Cross, London Victoria or London Cannon Street, via Lewisham and Eltham towards the west and Dartford railway station to the east. There are 12 trains each hour through the week; on Sundays, there are four trains per hour. The railway station was openedto encourage the construction of homes. The Barnehurst Estate was constructed in 1926 which housed a lot of people.
In addition to the railway station, Barnehurst is served by 5 buses, 1 of which goes to the popular Bluewater Shopping Centre. There are few shopping or leisure opportunities within the town, so individuals normally go to surrounding areas making use of public transport links or the primary roads.
Barnehurst is home for the non-league football club Phoenix Sports FC, which plays at Phoenimx Sports Ground.
